FAQ

What sets Vannah Lee apart from other photographers?

What sets me apart is the heart I pour into every part of your experience from the first email to the final gallery delivery. I don’t just show up with a camera; I’m there to truly get to know you, understand your vision, and create a space where you feel comfortable and celebrated. My style blends true-to-color warmth with a relaxed, storytelling approach, capturing real emotions and meaningful moments as they naturally unfold. I’m calm, attentive, and always prepared. So you can focus on soaking in your day, while I quietly and intentionally document it all. At the end of the day, it’s not just about pretty pictures (though you’ll get plenty!). It’s about preserving the feeling of your day in a way that’s heartfelt, timeless, and uniquely you.

How many hours of coverage do we need?

Every wedding day is unique, so coverage is designed to fit your timeline rather than a strict schedule. Most couples choose between partial-day and full-day coverage depending on how much of the day they’d like documented. From getting ready through the reception. I’m happy to help guide you in choosing what works best for your plans.

Do you help with our timeline?

Yes! I provide timeline guidance to ensure your day flows smoothly and allows plenty of time for portraits, details, and candid moments without ever feeling rushed.

Most coordinators will also create a timeline for your day, but a photography-focused timeline is essential due to the many moving pieces involved. I work alongside your planner or coordinator to create a timeline that not only keeps your day on track, but also allows for the best possible lighting, flow, and overall experience.

How are our images edited?

Every wedding gallery is hand-edited to highlight your best light, colors, and natural tones. Your images are carefully curated to reflect your unique wedding experience, meaning no two galleries are ever the same.

How many images will we receive?

Each package includes a guaranteed minimum number of images, but most galleries go beyond that. Every image delivered is thoughtfully selected and fully edited to tell the complete story of your day.

When will we receive our gallery?

You will receive an online gallery link with a sneak peek within 48 hours of your wedding or elopement via email. The full wedding or elopement gallery will be delivered within 8-12 weeks (sometimes less depending on the season I photograph your wedding). You can download, share and even print all of the photos directly from your gallery!

Do you offer engagement experiences?

Yes! Engagement experiences are included in select packages and are a perfect way for us to work together before your wedding day. They help you feel comfortable in front of the camera while creating a beautiful gallery of this season.

Do you travel?

Yes, I’m available for travel! Travel fees may apply depending on your location. Just reach out with your details and I’ll provide a custom quote.

Do you require a non-refundable retainer?

Yes, a signed contract and retainer are required to secure your date. Weddings are booked on a first-come, first-served basis.

Can we customize our experience?

Absolutely. Every wedding is different, and I’m happy to create a custom collection that fits your vision and needs.

What happens if something unexpected comes up?

In the rare event of an emergency, I have trusted backup photographers and a plan in place to ensure your day is still captured seamlessly.

Do you work based off a shot list?

My approach is very relaxed and natural - I believe the most meaningful photos often come from the unplanned, in-between moments you didn’t even realize were happening. While I love letting the day unfold organically, I do ask for a list of any must-have shots you'd like me to prioritize so nothing important is missed. The only part of the day that’s usually a bit more structured is during family portraits, just to ensure we gather everyone needed. Otherwise, I’m there to go with the flow and capture your day as it truly unfolds.

Do you bring a second photographer?

A second photographer is included in select packages to provide additional coverage and perspectives, ensuring more moments are captured throughout your day.

What is the custom timeline planning and guidance for?

The custom timeline planning and guidance included in every package are there to help make your experience as smooth and stress-free as possible. During our consultations, we’ll chat about your vision, priorities, and any questions you have, so we’re all on the same page before the big day.

Timeline planning allows us to map out your wedding day in a way that makes the most of your coverage - ensuring there’s time for everything from getting ready to golden hour portraits, without feeling rushed. It’s all about creating a plan that supports a relaxed, joyful day while making sure the moments that matter most are beautifully captured.

What if we decide on the day of that we would like you to stay longer?

If you decide on the day of your wedding that you'd like me to stay a bit longer, no problem at all. I’m happy to be there for as long as you need. Additional coverage is available at $200 per hour, and we can simply add that to a final invoice after the day is done. My priority is making sure your story is captured fully and beautifully, without stress or rush.

Will my photos be posted publicly on your site or social media?

I respect your privacy and allow each client to decide whether or not they want their photos displayed publicly. I’d love to show off you & your images, if you’re game! If not, that's okay, too.

Are the people featured on your site models?

For the most part, no. While I am lucky enough to work with gorgeous clients, the majority of the images shown on my site are of regular, paying clients. If the photos were taken at a styled shoot it will be labeled next to the photos or gallery slideshow. Most styled shoots I attend are an opportunity to get creative, test out new equipment or techniques before wedding season, and connect with other talented vendors in the industry. These shoots allow us all to refine our skills, try fresh ideas, and stay inspired. So when your big day comes, I’m showing up fully prepared and creatively energized.

Will you Photoshop my images to hide any unwanted spots, wrinkles, etc?

Minor edits will be made to all of your images, but I believe our imperfections are what make us beautiful & unique. If there are specific edits you want, these will be charged according to the number and complexity of edits.

Do you have a list of preferred vendors to use?

Yes! From wedding planners to florists and caterers, I have worked with some of the best companies in the industry & would love to share their information with you!

Do you photograph destination weddings?

Absolutely! For full transparency, I’ve had the joy of capturing one destination wedding so far and it was an incredible experience. I’d be more than happy to create a custom package tailored to your travel plans and vision. Whether it’s across the country or across the ocean, I’m always up for the adventure!

What equipment do you use?

I use the latest Nikon and Godox flash equipment to ensure consistent, high-quality results in any lighting situation.

Where should I print my Photos?

You can order high-quality prints, canvases, invitations, and more through your gallery from the professional lab I use.

Below are my recommendations for the best printing labs for prints, canvas, invitations, and more. You do not have to use these but if you’re wanting a less expensive option to the professional lab I use through the gallery store these are the best labs I’ve found. The only printers I do not recommend using are CVS, Walgreens, and Walmart’s quick prints setup as their printers are made to print photos quickly but quality wise they do not accurately print the photos.

  • mPix Photo Lab (Prints, Canvas, Invitations)
  • Nations Photo Lab (Prints, Canvas, Invitations)
  • Shutterfly (Invitations & Magnets)
  • Precision Camera in Austin (Prints)
